Today the initial POC version of the Hosted Hercules MVS Instance has been made available.

This project aims to provide a hosted MVS/380 and VM/380 instances so that members can:

- Log in to (via 3270 terminals) MVS for development and training purposes.

- Submit JCL jobs via a custom command line tool (for development purposes).

The vision is to provide an easy to use platform that will allow people to easily learn, experiment with and use to develop (open) software for MVS.

NOTE: This POC was successful and has now closed - but work continues (an hour or so a day!). And I should be in a position to post some screen shots very soon. I am very excited by the AJAX 3270 Terminal emulator which has now reached an acceptable level of practical usability.
